Get the Right E-shop or Website for Your Business — with the Upcoming ESPA Subsidy Program!

It’s time to digitally upgrade your business
with a subsidy of up to €5,000

A new ESPA program offering a generous subsidy for the creation of online stores (e-shops) is expected to get the green light in the coming period.

According to statements made yesterday on SKAI Radio by Deputy Minister of Development and Investments Giannis Tsakiris, the subsidy for retail stores will amount to €5,000 per business, while the program’s total budget will be capped at €80 million.

This new ESPA funding initiative will support the development of e-shops for retail businesses, aiming to strengthen their digital presence and competitiveness.
With a total budget of €80 million, the program is expected to benefit up to 16,000 enterprises nationwide.

Subsidy for E-shop Creation: Who Is Eligible

As Deputy Minister Giannis Tsakiris explained, the new program will subsidize 100% of the cost for the creation of an online store (e-shop) and will apply exclusively to retail businesses, since service providers are already covered by an existing funding scheme.

The Deputy Minister also reminded that service-based companies may still apply under the “Competitiveness Toolbox for Small and Very Small Enterprises”, which remains open for funding applications until January 31, 2021.

Under the new program, the maximum subsidy per retail business will reach €5,000, covering the entire eligible expenditure for the development of an e-shop.
Mr. Tsakiris also noted that the total budget, initially set at €80 million, may be increased in the future depending on the program’s uptake and demand.
