FAQ

Email marketing without easy promises.

Core answers before commissioning campaigns, automations or integrations.

Another question?
What does the email marketing service include?

Depending on scope, it can include strategy, segmentation, campaigns, automations, copy, design, integrations, authentication, QA and reporting. Deliverables are agreed before work begins.

Is email marketing simply sending newsletters?

No. A mature system connects permission-based acquisition, lifecycle communication, transactional separation, data, deliverability and measurement.

Can you integrate WooCommerce, OpenCart or a custom application?

Yes, where reliable APIs, webhooks or exports exist. We first identify the source of truth for customer, product, order and event data.

Do you build B2B email automations?

Yes. We can design lead nurture, partner onboarding, account updates, reactivation and customer-success flows with the right roles, approvals and data.

Do you buy or rent email lists?

No. Purchased lists create consent, quality, sender-reputation and deliverability problems. We build a legitimate, useful audience from real touchpoints.

What are SPF, DKIM and DMARC?

They are domain authentication and policy mechanisms that help recipients verify the sender. They do not guarantee inbox placement, but they are a core technical prerequisite.

Do you guarantee inbox placement?

No. Delivery is affected by authentication, domain reputation, list quality, complaints, content and provider rules. We commit to a sound foundation, monitoring and evidence-led corrections.

Do you measure open rate?

We record it where available, but do not treat it as absolute truth because of image blocking and privacy protections. Clicks, downstream actions and business outcomes receive more weight.

How do you handle unsubscribe and preferences?

Every marketing message needs a clear exit and, where useful, a preference centre. Unsubscribe updates suppression rules so the person is not accidentally reintroduced to marketing.

How are marketing and transactional email different?

Transactional messages support a transaction or operational update; marketing messages promote a product, offer or content. We separate their purpose, consent logic and often their infrastructure.

Is the email platform subscription included?

Not unless explicitly stated. Platform, SMS, connectors, production, copy and additional design adaptations are separate from strategy and implementation fees.

Who owns the lists and data?

The business. It retains corporate ownership of domains, accounts, billing, lists, consent records, templates and exports; Firstidea only receives required access.
