Brand strategy / identity / applications

Branding that turns business value into a recognisable, consistent brand.

We connect strategy, logo design, visual identity and real applications so the business communicates with the same clarity across its website, content, campaigns and physical touchpoints.

What does branding solve?

It is not simply how a business looks. It is how the business becomes understood and recognised.

A brand works when its promise, language and visual presence agree. A customer should not meet one business on the website, another on social media and a third on packaging or inside a physical space.

That is why we start from the business context and design a system for making decisions—not individual files that only look impressive in a presentation.

The foundation of a useful brand

Four dimensions that need to work as one system.

Aesthetics matter, but consistency begins earlier: with who you are, who you serve and what people need to understand or remember.

01

Positioning

The business’s place, difference and value are expressed in a specific, defensible way.

02

Verbal direction

Messaging, tone and core vocabulary keep communication human, clear and consistent.

03

Visual identity

Logo, colour, typography, imagery and layouts gain a role and practical rules.

04

Brand experience

The system adapts to real touchpoints—from screen and print to space and object.

New brand, refresh or extension?

Not every business needs the same degree of change.

Before proposing design, we assess what is valuable enough to keep, what creates confusion and what new capability needs to be supported.

  • New brand: strategy, naming context, identity and core applications from a clean foundation.
  • Brand refresh: focused evolution without discarding existing recognition.
  • Brand extension: applying a mature system to new products, channels or markets.

Process

From business context to a system people can actually use.

Stages, decisions and feedback cycles are agreed from the start. Creative work can then be assessed against shared criteria, not personal preference alone.

  1. 01

    Discovery

We document the business, audience, market, competition, goals and the problem the brand needs to solve.

  2. 02

    Strategic direction

We define positioning, the core promise, personality and the criteria used to evaluate creative decisions.

  3. 03

    Concept routes

We present reasoned creative routes—not a collection of disconnected aesthetic options.

  4. 04

    System & applications

The approved direction becomes a logo, colour, typography, layouts and the agreed real-world touchpoints.

  5. 05

    Handoff & evolution

We deliver organised source and export files with guidance so the identity can be applied and extended properly.

Deliverables & ownership

The final brand should not depend on the designer’s memory.

Handoff is organised around the agreed uses. We supply the appropriate file formats, specifications and rules, while ownership, fonts and third-party licences are clarified in writing.

FAQ

Questions before a branding project begins.

Clear answers about scope, process, applications, files and ownership.

What does a branding service include?

The exact scope depends on the business stage and need. It may include research, positioning, creative direction, logo design, visual identity, brand guidelines and selected digital or physical applications.

What is the difference between a logo and a corporate identity?

A logo is the primary identifying mark. Corporate identity is the wider system defining colour, typography, imagery, graphic elements, layouts and application rules.

Do you create brands for new businesses?

Yes. For a new brand, we begin with the business context and intended market position before designing the visual system and initial applications.

Can you improve an existing brand without a complete rebrand?

Yes. A focused refresh can improve consistency, typography, colour, applications or responsive logo behaviour without discarding recognition that has already been built.

When is a complete rebrand appropriate?

When strategy, audience or market position changes substantially, when the current identity communicates the wrong impression, or when it cannot work across today’s media and sizes.

How long does a branding project take?

Timing depends on research, the number of stakeholders, required applications and review cycles. We agree stages, deliverables and a schedule before creative work begins.

How many logo concepts do you present?

We do not treat volume as a measure of quality. We agree a defined number of concept routes, each with a strategic rationale, then develop the direction that best answers the approved criteria.

Do you deliver editable and vector files?

Yes, when included in the agreed scope. Handoff organises source and export files for the intended uses, together with colour and typography specifications.

Who owns the final creative work?

Ownership and usage rights are clarified in the proposal and project agreement. We also explain any restrictions attached to third-party elements such as fonts, stock photography or licensed assets.

Can you create social templates, presentations or packaging?

Yes. We select applications based on the business’s real touchpoints and include them in scope instead of supplying a generic package that may never be used.

Is a website included in a branding project?

Website design and development is a separate scope, but it can follow from the same brand system. This allows identity to become UX, components and content without inconsistency.

Can the work be delivered in phases?

Yes. We can begin with strategy and core identity, then extend the system into a website, campaigns, print or physical touchpoints using shared specifications.
