WordPress & WooCommerce support
WordPress & WooCommerce support with clear technical ownership.
We take over existing WordPress websites and WooCommerce stores through technical audits, fixes, security, performance and continuous care — without an unnecessary platform change or redesign.
When support is needed
When WordPress or WooCommerce needs dependable technical care.
We do not propose a rebuild when the real problem is maintenance, infrastructure or a lack of ownership. We first establish what is worth preserving and what genuinely needs to change.
- 01
Updates keep causing problems
Plugins, the theme and WordPress core need controlled updates, compatibility checks and a safe rollback path.
- 02
The site is slow or unstable
We trace real bottlenecks across the application, database, hosting, cache and third-party services.
- 03
Critical store journeys are unreliable
Checkout, payments, emails, stock and integrations are tested as one connected commercial operation.
- 04
Technical responsibility is unclear
We define what is monitored, what is maintained, how requests are prioritised and who owns each action.
Takeover in practice
Real WooCommerce stores with different takeover and management scopes.
Each example is limited to the documented scope of the engagement, without external links that remove visitors from the enquiry journey.

Support scope
What WordPress & WooCommerce technical support covers.
The exact scope follows the audit. Support is organised around stability, security and the business operations the platform must protect.
Technical audit & takeover
A clear inventory of WordPress, WooCommerce, theme, plugins, hosting, DNS, email and integrations before any intervention.
Updates & compatibility
Controlled updates with backups, testing and recovery when a change affects live functionality.
Security & malware response
Hardening, monitoring, suspicious-activity checks and an organised incident response process.
Backups & recovery
Backups with a clear retention policy and a recovery process that can actually be used when needed.
Performance & infrastructure
Core Web Vitals, caching, database cleanup, CDN and hosting configuration driven by evidence.
WooCommerce operations
Checkout, payment methods, shipping, transactional emails, feeds and integrations under continuous review.
Takeover process
A safe takeover begins with an audit and a clear plan.
We do not intervene on a live site without understanding its dependencies and establishing a reliable restore point. Every change has a priority, an owner and a reason.
- 01
Audit the current state
We document access, infrastructure, code, licences, backups, analytics, security and known issues.
- 02
Transfer responsibility safely
We collect the required credentials, establish a reliable restore point and stabilise critical areas.
- 03
Prioritise the fixes
We separate urgent issues from improvements and explain cost, risk and commercial impact before work begins.
- 04
Provide continuous technical care
We monitor, update, support and improve the site through a consistent process and a clear change history.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions about WordPress & WooCommerce support.
Before taking over an existing site, we clarify access, infrastructure, licences, SEO, backups and the exact boundaries of responsibility.
Why choose Firstidea for WordPress or WooCommerce support?
We combine technical development experience with first-hand knowledge of daily eCommerce operations. We do not look only at code; we evaluate checkout, payments, emails, products, stock, integrations and the commercial impact of each technical decision.
Can I keep my current hosting provider?
Yes, if the technical audit confirms that the current hosting meets the site’s requirements for security, performance, backups and access. If a move is necessary, we explain the reasons and organise a controlled migration.
Will SEO or content be lost during the takeover?
A takeover does not require changes to URLs, content or platform. Before any significant intervention, we document the current state, keep reliable backups and review the impact on SEO, analytics and functionality.
Are premium plugins included in the service?
Selected plans may include managed licences for specific tools we use to provide the service. These licences remain active while the support agreement is active and are not resold as standalone products.
What happens if our support agreement ends?
We hand over the site, its data, available backups and the technical documentation that belongs to your business. For tools using a managed licence, we explain in advance which licence will need to be replaced.
Can you also change content and design?
Yes. Technical support can be combined with improvements to content, UX, landing pages and functionality. Each task is clearly scoped and priced so ongoing care does not become confused with a new development project.
What does WooCommerce support cover?
We review the technical foundation of the store and its critical commercial journeys: products, variations, cart, checkout, payments, shipping, transactional emails, feeds and integrations, according to the agreed plan.
Can you fix WordPress email delivery problems?
Yes. We review SMTP, DNS authentication, forms and WooCommerce transactional emails to identify whether the problem is in the site, the email provider or the domain configuration.
Is there a mandatory annual commitment?
Managed plans are usually annual because they include hosting, licences, monitoring and continuous maintenance. A standalone audit or a specific intervention can be agreed as a separate project.
