Project thinking
From brief to working system
The decisions behind the interface matter as much as the final screen.
The brief: a complete new presence for a real estate agency
HandHome Real Estate needed a new website to present its identity and services in Patras, help visitors discover properties and connect with the agency’s data workflows. The initial build was planned around buyers, tenants, owners and investors, with a clear next step for each audience.
- A new WordPress website
- An organised property and service catalogue
- Distinct visitor needs
A bespoke design built on Houzez
Houzez provides the foundation for the real estate functionality, with the visual experience tailored to HandHome. Large photographs, green and earthy tones, distinctive typography and consistent layouts connect the homepage, catalogue, services and contact pages. The presentation adapts to desktop and mobile screens.
- Design tailored to HandHome’s identity
- A consistent experience across sections
- Navigation adapted for mobile
Estate+ integration and XML imports for properties and contacts
The build includes integration with Estate+, the CRM used to organise the agency’s customers and work. We also developed an XML import mechanism for property and contact data. XML is a structured file format for transferring information between systems. This connects the website to the agency’s operational infrastructure while preparing property content for presentation to visitors.
- Estate+ CRM integration
- Property data import through XML
- Support for importing contact data
Search by criteria and location
Property discovery starts with practical criteria: buying or renting, city and area, property type, price, floor area, bedrooms and additional features. The map adds geographic context, while sorting helps visitors review the available options. On mobile, visitors can switch between the map and property list.
- Filters based on practical requirements
- Geographic discovery on a map
- Sorting and alternate viewing modes
Property pages that give enquiries a clear context
Each listing brings together photographs, description, price, floor area, location, features and energy class. A reference code makes conversations with the agency more precise. The enquiry form already names the selected property in its message, giving the initial contact a clear subject.
- Property information in one place
- A clear listing reference
- An enquiry form for each property
Dedicated journeys for owners and investors
The homepage introduces buying, renting and investing as distinct paths. Owners reach a dedicated property-assignment page with tailored copy and a preselected enquiry subject. Investment content leads to a relevant contact request. The agency’s 11 services are organised into individual pages that explain where HandHome can help.
- A dedicated property-owner journey
- Investment content and relevant enquiries
- Separate pages for 11 services
Two languages and a clear search structure
Greek and English versions cover the main pages and property listings, with links between corresponding translations. Page titles, descriptions and structured property data help search engines interpret the content. This provides a clear information structure for both Greek-speaking and international audiences.
- Greek and English content
- Linked property translations
- Organised information for visitors and search engines
