From the brief to the working system

The new experience had to look considered on screen and remain dependable behind it.

A transition that preserved the store’s commercial memory

Kaiti Ergoxeira has been operating since 1974, with a large catalogue, active customers, an order history and established day-to-day processes. The brief was not simply to refresh the storefront, but to move to a modern commerce system without interrupting sales, losing data or creating discontinuity for returning customers.

  • Operational continuity without closing online sales
  • Controlled migration of customers, orders and inventory
  • Preservation of brand recognition and business-critical URLs

The “friend Kaiti” character at the centre of a brand-led experience

The handmade Kaiti figure, warm colour system and editorial typography balance heritage with contemporary retail. Designed mobile-first, the visual language remains consistent from the homepage to navigation, search, mini cart and checkout.

  • Custom homepage and responsive visual system
  • Consistent UI across navigation, search, cart and checkout
  • Clear purchasing paths without visual clutter

A deep catalogue becomes easier to explore

The catalogue spans knitting, embroidery, sewing, crafts and specialist materials. A dynamic category drawer and desktop mega menu are driven by the WooCommerce taxonomy, while FiboSearch, filters and structured product data reduce the distance between intent and selection.

  • Dynamic navigation without a second manually maintained taxonomy
  • Fast AJAX discovery across products, categories and SKU
  • Google Merchant and Meta feeds with consistent product data

Commerce operations move to the new system without gaps

The checkout supports BOX NOW lockers, courier and store pickup, Viva online payments, Revolut Pay, Google Pay, Klarna, bank transfer and cash on delivery. Pricing and VAT, receipt or invoice selection, feeds, Consent Mode v2, security, transactional email and performance were configured as one production system.

  • Multiple shipping methods, locker selection and online payments
  • VAT handling, receipt/invoice data and order-number continuity
  • Consent, analytics, feeds, security and performance tuning
