Project thinking
From brief to working system
The decisions behind the interface matter as much as the final screen.
The brief
The Kostis Palamas Centre for Culture and Olympism needed to bring a specialist sports-selection process for children aged six and over online while preserving its educational character.
- Parent and child in one process
- Ages 6+
- Greek and English experience
Guidance and consent before the first step
The introduction explains that there are no right or wrong answers and collects the necessary parent, contact and child details together with explicit consent for the purpose of the test.
- Parent and child details
- Purpose-limited consent
- Clear instructions before start
Visual ranking that follows how a child chooses
At each step, the child places four sports images from most to least preferred. Previous and Next controls provide a predictable way to move through the flow.
- Drag-and-rank interaction
- Four sports per step
- Previous and next navigation
Custom functionality inside the existing platform
The application was integrated into the organisation’s WordPress environment with consistent styling and responsive behaviour. Structured responses support evaluation and the Centre’s related analysis or certification workflow.
- Embedded WordPress application
- Structured preference data
- Evaluation and follow-up workflow

Delivered value
What the solution connects
The outcome is described through delivered capabilities—not invented performance figures.
A specialist process becomes accessible online to parents and children aged six and over
Image ranking lowers cognitive load and keeps the child’s preference at the centre
Responses create a structured foundation for evaluation, analysis and organisational follow-up
A tool for children should not feel like an administrative form. Interaction needs simple instructions, visual choices and a steady sense of progress.
The specialist process is translated into sequential steps completed by parent and child together while preserving the child’s freedom of personal choice.
